The Yatsushikas (Japanese: やつしか, Yatsushika) are recurring characters in the Taiko no Tatsujin series. Yatsushika first appear in Taiko no Tatsujin: Doka! to Oomori Nanadaime.

Biography

Appearance

The Yatsushikas are humanoids with a deer head. they wear a large apron which hang around their neck and spread down to the middle of their body, with a kimono underneath. They were also wearing a pair of white socks and straw sandals.

The male Yatsushika has a pair of horn on his head and wears a orange and red apron, while the female Yatsushika lacks the horns and wears a pink and red apron.

Personality

While not much is known about the Yatsushikas, they were known to dance gracefully.

Background

The yatsushika were born in Uwajima of Ehime Prefecture, and were known for being the inheritors of traditional acts.
