Taiko no Tatsujin Portable DX (Japanese: 太鼓の達人 ぽーたぶるDX, Taiko no Tatsujin Pōtaburu Derakkusu) is the 3rd and final installment of the Taiko no Tatsujin games on PlayStation Portable (PSP).
The game introduces features from other Taiko no Tatsujin games that were not included with the previous Portable titles. One thing that is also included is the story mode.
This is the last Taiko no Tatsujin game on PlayStation platforms to be released until the release of Taiko no Tatsujin: V Version for PlayStation Vita in July 9, 2015.
Gameplay[]
While most of the core gameplay mechanics were the same as previous Taiko no Tatsujin games on PlayStation Portable, It introduces the Detarame (Random) and Kimagure (S-Random) modifier, as well as modifier stacking. However, the bell note was removed from this release and was replaced with a Yam note instead.
The main story mode is the Nationwide Omikoshi battle mode, where you play as Don to defeats dojos across Japan. The gameplay in the story mode is similar to the boss battles in Taiko no Tatsujin games on Nintendo DS.
The base game comes with 70 songs, with the additional 110 DLC songs (Consist of both paid and free DLCs) that can be downloaded. All DLCs were discontinued on September 30th, 2015.
