Taiko no Tatsujin: Tobikkiri! Anime Special (Japanese: 太鼓の達人 とびっきり!アニメスペシャル, Taiko no Tatsujin: Tobikkiri! Anime Supesharu) is a Taiko no Tatsujin game for Playstation 2 on August 4, 2005. It is the second anime song compilation after Taiko no Tatsujin: Waku Waku Anime Matsuri.
Unique to this compilation is that most Namco Original songs debut in this game are sang by anime song artists: Ichiro Mizuki, Mitsuko Horie and Hironobu Kageyama, who are commonly known for performs anime songs.
Gameplay[]
The core gameplay is mostly the same as previously released Taiko no Tatsujin games.
For Tobikkiri! Anime Special, there are 3 main minigames. The minigames are as follows:
- Floating Parasol (Japanese: ふわふらパラソル, Fuwafura Parasoru) - In this minigame, player is in control of Don or Katsu and help them reach the goal while floating in the air via a umbrella and avoids obstacles. In the special course, player is instead controling Turtle, who is using a pair of folding fans instead of umbrella to floats. If donder managed to complete the minigame, the game reveal that the whole minigame is a dream of either Don or Katsu, who rolling off of the Wada household's roof as he wakes up by Tetsuo's warning.
- Squirt Gun in Bathroom (Japanese: お風呂で水鉄砲, Ofuro de Suitetsuhou) - In this minigame, player is in control of either Tetsuo or Hana, armed with squirt guns. Player must hit the objects (Either the chicks or the Mizu-Marikos) in the air to gains points. In the special course, the large amount of bubbles covering the bath, increasing the difficulty.
- Fly, Ladle! (Japanese: 杓子、とんでけー!, Shakushi, Tondeke!) - In this minigame, player is control of the Cat of the Cat and Ladle duo, and player can throws Ladle into the air as far as possible. In the special course, player must throw Ladle to the specific distance.
As with previous Taiko no Tatsujin games on PlayStation 2, Tobikkiri! Anime Special supports the TaTaCon controller.
