Taiko no Tatsujin Wiki

The use of templates in the song list section of the game pages is slowly deprecated due to some pages reaching the translusion limit of Fandom (and in extension, the MediaWiki it running on). As such, it is recommended to edit the song list in source edit mode.

Revision as of 15:11, 8 January 2020

Taiko no Tatsujin: Little Dragon and the Mysterious Orbs (Japanese: 太鼓の達人 ちびドラゴンと不思議なオーブ, Taiko no Tatsujin: Chibi Doragon to Fushigi na Ōbu) is the first Taiko no Tatsujin game for the Nintendo 3DS system. It was released on July 12, 2012.

Like the previous Nintendo handheld title, Taiko no Tatsujin DS: Dororon! Yokai Great Decisive Battle!, the game features the main story mode that contains RPG elements. It is also the first handheld game to use 3rd generation graphics from Taiko no Tatsujin (2011) arcade, and also the first Nintendo handheld game to have such. (Before Sony's PlayStation Vita with Taiko no Tatsujin: V Version 3 years after the game's release)

It is also the first Nintendo handheld game to have extra tracks on certain songs. Like Taiko no Tatsujin titles on Nintendo DS, the game takes advantage of 3DS's touchscreen and the game package comes with a pair of pachi-pen.

Little Dragon and the Mysterious Orbs mode

Little Dragon and the Mysterious Orbs mode is the game's main story mode. Gameplay is similar to that of Yokai Great Decisive Battle mode of Dororon! Yokai Great Decisive Battle!. Unlike previous title, it take places mostly in the fantasy world.

Story

One night, Don and Katsu were just finished eating food and felt full. Suddenly they heard the weird music and it's coming from the bathroom. Upon arrives outside the bathroom, they heard someone's calling for help. But when they open the door, what they see is the bright light and they were sent to somewhere.

Don, after arrived to the unfamiliar place, noticed that he is wearing some sort of weird outfit. He also noticed that Katsu isn't here, so he call for Katsu, to no avail. He look around, and what he see is buildings that were burnt to the ground.

Wandering around the place, Don found Maou's pendant, just then he is attacked by the very angry Ralco, the little dragon. After the incident, Ralco appologize to Don for mistaking him as one of the Maou's henchmen. The two become friends, and Ralco reveal that he's been searching for the orbs that are the fragments of Princess Soprano's voice. Just then, the portal appeared and Maou reveal himself to the two.

Maou is the one who not only kidnapped Princess Soprano, but also stole her voice and turn it into different orbs and were scattered around the world. Maou reveal that if Ralco cannot collect all seven orbs before the next full moon, Princess Soprano will be disappear forever. The portal disappear, but not before Princess Soprano managed to tell Ralco telepathically that the pendant that Don have is the gift to Ralco and use it to find the remaining orb to save her.

Don, together with Ralco, started the epic journey to save Princess Soprano and defeat Maou once and for all...
