Taiko no Tatsujin: Blue Version (Japanese: 太鼓の達人 ブルーVer., Taiko no Tatsujin: Burū Bājon) is a Taiko no Tatsujin arcade that was released on March 25, 2018. It supersedes the Yellow Version.
It was superseded by Green Version on March 14, 2019.
General info[]
Blue Version carried over most of the gameplay modes and function from the previous arcade version, as such, core gameplay is identical. The practice mode, which was introduced in previous version, was removed from Blue Version.
New to this update is the addition of the Performance Battle Mode that was added on June 27, 2018; It has similar gameplay as the battle mode in the recently released Taiko no Tatsujin games on Nintendo DS and 3DS.
Story[]
In a fantasy world, there is a crisis where a giant black dragon have turns humans into vicious monsters. Those very monsters will only revert to be human once they were defeated with the rhythm power. However, the monster's number kept increasing and is outnumbering the human race, so the only way to end it once and for all is to slay the dragon that is the root of this crisis.
In order to save her people, Amitie, a princess of a Kingdom, takes up the legendary, rhythm power-infused magical sword and embark on a journey to defeat the giant black dragon. During travel, she met Don, who just happened to got summoned into this world and is capable of using rhythm power. Together, Amitie and Don goes on a quest to put an end on the giant black dragon, once and for all...

- This is the last Taiko no Tatsujin arcade to be published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, as all Bandai Namco's future arcade operations will be handled by Bandai Namco Amusement from April 2018 onward.
