Recruitable Monsters (Don and Katsu's Space-time Adventure/Rhythmic Adventure 1)

Various types of Monsters are recruitable after a successful battle, with one being chosen randomly from the group. This is a list of Monsters in Taiko no Tatsujin: Don and Katsu's Space-time Adventure and its' HD rerelease in the Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythmic Adventure Pack.

Monsters marked with an * are exclusive to special QR codes in the 3DS version, but are available as random encounters recruitable via normal means in Rhythmic Adventure 1.

Monsters marked with a ** indicate that they're listed as a Big monster, which take up two party slots instead of one.

Monsters with N/A in their stats box start with no special skill by default, but can be given one by utilizing a Book.

• The Shark Rider's Cyan alt may be a reference to a genetic abnormality that one in every two million lobsters may have, which turns them a bright blue color.
• Standing Don, Standing Katsu, and TTV5-G are the only recruitable monsters to not have their own pages in the character log.
• In the English localization, a nickname recommendation the game will give when befriending the Demon Train is "Thomas". This is a clear reference to Thomas the Tank Engine.
• The Pterracutter resembles Ridley from Nintendo's Metroid franchise.
• The Stagfly resembles a Chaurus Hunter from Bethesda's Elder Scrolls franchise.
• The Space Bunny resembles Lantern Eel, and the character file re-enforces the resemblance. Oddly, in Space Bunny's friendship dialogue, he asks Don-chan if he's met anyone like him, and Don-chan strangely doesn't. This is even more bizarre, given that the creature's Japanese name translates to "Space Eel".
