The 8cm CD single of the same name was released on September 8, 1999 under the SME Records label and was Porno Graffitti's first major single. It was later included in the band's first major album "Romantist Egoist", which was released on March 8, 2000.
The single takes 84th place in the Oricon chart upon release, but soon shoots up to 5th place at peak thanks the band's appearance in Music Station as well as the usage of the song in the Japanese TV variety show Koko ga Hen da yo Nihonjin at that time.
